Dr. Barbara Bear is a licensed clinical psychologist, executive coach, consultant, and mediator with more than 25 years of experience helping individuals, professionals, and organizations navigate complex challenges with clarity, insight, and practical solutions.

Dr. Bear’s work sits at the intersection of psychology, leadership development, conflict resolution, and career strategy. Her multidisciplinary background includes advanced training in clinical psychology, industrial–organizational psychology, executive coaching, mediation, and legal studies. She holds a Master of Jurisprudence degree and has extensive experience collaborating with legal, medical, and corporate professionals.

In her clinical and consulting work, Dr. Bear is known for her thoughtful, direct, and deeply human approach. She specializes in supporting high-functioning professionals facing burnout, career transitions, leadership challenges, workplace conflict, and complex interpersonal dynamics. She also works extensively with individuals on the autism spectrum and their families, providing both clinical care and advocacy.

In addition to her private practice, Dr. Bear has served as an executive coach and faculty member with the Center for Creative Leadership from 2011-2021. She is also trained in professional mediation and high-conflict personality dynamics, allowing her to help individuals, teams, and families navigate difficult conversations and high-stakes decisions.

Dr. Bear’s work is grounded in the belief that people should be treated as humans—not chart numbers—and that thoughtful listening, intellectual curiosity, and strategic thinking can transform even the most complicated situations.

Through her clinical practice, consulting work, and writing, she is committed to helping people understand themselves more clearly, communicate more effectively, and move forward with confidence.

Barbara has been a member of TCC since 2012. She has served on the Communications Committee, the Hospitality Committee, and the Membership Committee.
