Member Spotlight: Lucy Wellmaker

  1. What do you value most about being part of this community or group?

As a lifelong learner, I value the professional development that TCC provides through the various presentations it offers. I also value the connections I have made through this community. What I value most, however, is the warm, welcoming, and respectful way I am received when I participate - whether online or in person. It is invaluable and much appreciated.

2. What project or accomplishment are you most proud of?

Regarding my professional life, the thing that I am most proud of is the consistency I have maintained in writing about one WOW Moment each week for many years. WOW Moments are reminders that something bigger is at work in our lives. When we seek them, we find them. While my career has taken different turns, the discipline of writing one weekly WOW and sending it out on Sunday mornings has remained the same.

3. How do you give back to your community or support causes you care about?

One way that I give back to my community is by volunteering. For a long time I would say that when the time is right, I wanted to be a Hospice Volunteer. That time has arrived and I am currently in training for the role. Ironically, my training as a Life Coach is serving me well in this capacity too. Wow.

How long have you been a member of TCC?

Over 10 years - I have lost track!
