Program Overview
This hands-on workshop moves beyond theory to tackle the ethical dilemmas coaches actually face in practice. Designed around real-world case studies and small-group discussion, it uses the ICF Code of Ethics as a living decision-making tool — not a rulebook to memorize.
The workshop adapts to your delivery context and closes with a synthesis of four core principles: ethics lives in ambiguity, structure prevents problems, the Code is a compass, not a map, and the client comes first — always.
Participants will:
A working understanding of the ICF Code's four key sections: client responsibility, confidentiality, conflicts of interest, and professional conduct
Strategies for navigating sponsor-client tensions in corporate coaching engagements, including tri-party agreements and protecting client welfare
A framework for recognizing when a client's needs exceed coaching scope — and how to refer ethically even when clients resist
