There are times when we are in what we believe is a standard one on one coaching session, and our client throws us a curve ball. Perhaps they began a story that has nothing to do with their job or professional future, but still has great importance and relevance in their life. What do we do?
These are the situations that make us work for our money and are the reasons we have ethical standards to guide us. We will try to tease out the ethical boundaries that some cases present us as well as help encourage us to stick with our coachees when their issues require us to listen carefully.
Benefit of Program for Coaches:
- Identify the early signs a client gives us that signal we are going into dangerous territory and that some kind of intervention is needed
- Present the benefits of Deep Listening
- Offer the model of Head, Heart and Feet as a guide in coaching admin
