Mitch’s mother was diagnosed with breast cancer when he was a young man. Walking through the cancer battle with his mom shaped how he approaches life, work, and family. He came to see life as a marathon that requires living one moment at a time to finish strong. In 2011, he founded A Tie That Binds and The National Pink Tie Day to support caregivers in the lives of those fighting breast cancer. Mitch lives in Greensboro, NC with his wife and two daughters.
