Presenters: Roger Pearman and Marilyn Taylor
Coaching practitioners urgently need evidence on the validity of specific processes used to promote insight and action on the part of their coachees. This presentation will review data collected from hundreds of coachees over the past 10 years who went through the Results Accelerator (formerly the PaperRoom). Our purpose is to show the validity of this framework for coaching practices. In addition, an experiential look at an aspect of the Results Accelerator will allow coaches to see one facet of the model. Participants will engage in a Top Five experience and Core Needs exercise, showing the pragmatic utility of the model and linking to the validity data collected.
The following program benefits and outcomes from this event:
- A way to understand validity as related to an insight or self-discovery process provides coaches with a checklist of what to look for when considering a new tool or process to use in coaching
- Useful longitudinal information about a coaching system that affirms the practice of coaching and dimensions of the coaching experience.
- A pragmatic experience with the Results Accelerator, designed to illustrate the utility of the model and promote coach self-awareness.
