Program Overview

In this program participants will delve into the complexities of toxic work environments and learn strategies to help their clients navigate effectively in toxic these workplaces.  Through breakouts and discussions, participants will gain insights into what to do if they witness or have clients who've found themselves in toxic predicaments. Explore the relevance of the topic in workplaces today.  Introduce powerful questions which stimulate conversation with someone in this position. By attending the program you will gain:

  • Powerful questions to ask clients in a toxic work environment

  • Awareness of the effect of behavior that intimidates, offends, degrades or humiliates a worker either overtly or privately

  • Ability to support clients in navigating toxic work environments


Dr. Comfort Okpala

Dr. Comfort Okpala is a professor of leadership studies in the Department of Leadership Studies and Adult Education, College of Education at North Carolina A&T State University. She has a Certificate on Evidence-Based Coaching from Fielding Graduate University.

Dr. Sherry Abernathy

She is praised for her efforts to consistently support students as a life coach and mentor following graduation into their respective vocations.
