August at TCC: Gratitude, Connection & Community

TCC is taking a summer pause in August. There will be no monthly program or social gathering, but we look forward to reconnecting soon.

A Message from the President: Gratitude and Warm Welcomes

We wouldn’t be what we are without the many volunteers who work tirelessly behind the scenes to provide advice, encouragement, and challenge. 

A heartfelt thank-you to Val Boston, who served as our interim DEIB Committee chair and as a board member. Val, we’re grateful for your leadership and willingness to step in for TCC.

Thank you also to Alisha Taggart, who led the Membership Committee for the last year. Your work and heart for TCC made a lasting mark on our community. We’re grateful to Jennifer Becker for stepping in as interim Membership Committee chair to keep the momentum going, and she is already off and running. 

Finally, please join me in welcoming Zitty Nxumalo and Michelle Linster, who have stepped in to co-chair the DEIB Committee and have also joined the board. We’re thrilled to have you both and look forward to working together. Welcome!

Our dedicated and committed volunteers make up the heart of this community and really represent the values upon which we are founded.

Beyond Sobriety: Coaching High-Performing Professionals in Recovery

Recovery is about far more than achieving sobriety—it is about rebuilding a life, a career, and the trust that makes both possible. This session explores the unique role recovery coaching plays in helping high-performing professionals move beyond sobriety to sustained personal and professional success.

Participants will gain a practical understanding of how recovery coaching differs from executive coaching, why rebuilding relationships, credibility, and trust is foundational to long-term recovery, and when recovery coaching—or referral to a recovery coach—can best support a client's success.

Your Experience:

• Increase awareness and reduce stigma surrounding addiction and recovery by recognizing its prevalence among high-performing professionals and its impact on individuals and organizations.

• Understand how recovery coaching differs from executive coaching and why rebuilding relationships, credibility, and trust is foundational to sustained recovery and long-term success.

• Recognize when recovery coaching—or referral to a recovery coach—can best support a client's long-term success.

• Earn 1.5 CE
